recipe review: frittata - ziggy marley & family cookbook
The 2nd cookbook that I will be featuring this year is the Ziggy Marley and Family cookbook. This cookbook features sustainable, organic food with a lovely influence of Jamaican, Rasta, Jewish, Persian influence that represent Ziggy Marley and his family. A lot of the recipes in this cookbook are vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten-free which is a huge plus since right now for Lent I have decided to cut back on red meat to promote a healthier lifestyle for myself.
First up out of the cookbook I made the Frittata - this dish was very simple to make, it is also vegetarian and gluten-free. A very interesting fun fact about me is that I actually do not eat eggs but felt intrigued to make this Frittata for a breakfast potluck at my job. Ziggy's original recipe isn't dairy-free but for my work potluck, I made it dairy-free by omitting the milk and cheese.
